Hello everyone.
First of all, let me say I really dislike drama. There's nothing positive about drama. Even if some find amusing to read it from the outside, it has very detrimental effects for the community.
The WCoPP, although a very fun tournament, was riddled with drama since the beggining (heck, since before it even started!). What happened in the semi-finals thread was just the icing on the cake. What happened was sad. Very, very sad. I won't pinpoint names, since I expect the people that took part in the drama to be mature enough to'understand who they are and what they did.
Now, I really like what we have here. This community is really, really nice. It was my best decision as a competitive battle to join Pokemon Perfect. I met some of the most interesting people I have ever met online here. So, I really want Pokemon Perfect to grow more, because I really wish the best for PP.
But all this drama is ruining everything. When I have one of my best poke-friends, that although registered in this website, is mostly a lurker, saying that Pokemon Perfect is a cringy community after what happened yesterday, I realized that this has gone too far. Is this what you want for Pokemon Perfect? That people start thinking that this community is a bunch of drama queens that all they do is partaking in shitfests? Is this what you want for the ONLY place that respects the Old Gens like they are should be respected? Because all this drama is only damaging PP's reputation and its growth.
So, before clicking that "Post Reply" or that "Create Thread" button (or the Enter button, in Discord), consider if what you just wrote is going to create more drama. Consider if what you wrote is going to create yet another pointless discussion. Consider if what you wrote is going to make yet another person tired of PP and stop coming to this site (possibly forever). If you hang around here, I'm sure you care about this community. Heck, I've seen some of the people contributing to the drama saying they do. So, please, do yourselves (yes, because you embarass yourselves. Try reading what you wrote in 2 months. Spoiler: you will cringe) and the website a favour and stop. No more insults. No more trolling people that you know will get mad. No more getting mad because the people on the other side is most likely just trying to provoke you. No more ad hominem attacks. Come on, it's not that hard.
Thank you.
