I just got 26th position in RBY OU ladder at Showdown using only this team, but really, I'm pretty sure that it's more due to luck than ability/good team.

Therefore, here it is, what do you guys think?

_______

Lead: Gengar

- Hypnosis
- Thunderbolt
- Explosion
- Confuse Ray

__

Exeggutor

- Sleep Powder
- Stun Spore
- Mega Drain
- Psychic

__

Snorlax

- Earthquake
- Body Slam
- Hyper Beam
- Self-Destruct

__

Chansey

- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

__

Tauros

- Earthquake
- Blizzard
- Body Slam
- Hyper Beam

__

Articuno

- Double-Edge
- Agility
- Hyper Beam
- Blizzard

_______

Tbolt is on Chansey (and Gengar) to deal with Starmie/Lapras/Cloyster, the main Articuno's threats. Eggy carries Mega Drain for Rhydon/Golem (though it can be also used against things like Starmie).

U probably wanna run Explosion over Mega Drain or Stun Spore on Exeggutor, for example you can use it to boom on Chansey which helps Articuno. Otherwise it's a good standard-looking Articuno team.

Personally I'd prefer to run Night Shade somewhere on the Gengar, probably over CRay since it doesn't serve much purpose beyond getting hax, although Tbolt is also an option, since Gengar in my experience doesn't do that great a job checking waters because it's often too busy blowing itself up or getting slept.

An option you may consider is Golem>Lax. Obviously not as great vs Water types, particularly Starmie (a flipside to that is it's a more consistent lure for them), but it helps cover Electrics, which are also a threat to Articuno and can potentially overwhelm Chansey. Either way the team works fine, it's just that Golem's my preference on one of my teams that's similar to this one

Assuming your purpose is to use Articuno, I would just use a standard team with Articuno on it: Exeggutor needs Stun Spore as an option against Starmie; Snorlax helps too, and I would never drop it.

Gengar with TBolt as the only damaging move won't go anywhere, and it's not going to hit water-types anyway. TBolt is a good move itself, but Gengar needs to hit Exeggutor and GolDon too: Night Shade is the move you spam most of the time (> CRay), and it hits paralyzed Alakazam decently as well.
The problem is that, even if you either have a status absorber or you let Exeggutor slept, Gengar is often countered by Chansey or Alakazam (and ultimatley Exeggutor or GolDon) before it can be dangerous. Add the fact that Tauros and most Snorlax movesets use Earthquake for a 2HKO, so you'll see it's not easy at all to generate that setup (Gengar vs water type and no switch in).

Alakazam or Jynx are ok as the lead, and maybe even better: you might be able to deal with a Starmie lead on turn 1. I think they're more consistent and I would pick them over Gengar, even though the Articuno&Gengar sinergy works fine once Recovery users are gone.

Sorry, but... a standard team? How would it be? I'm a newbie on RBY 1U/OU ^^"

I usually let Gengar slept instead of Eggy, and then I use Chansey to deal with Starmie or Lapras. Since Gengar rarely stays awake, he's most used to put something to sleep and dodge some explosions.

I'll try to use Zam or Jynx over Gengar, starting with Jynx (Blizzard/Psychic/LKiss/...Mimic? BS?).

Letting Gengar slept is risky, Exeggutor could Stun Spore it instead. As an explosion absorber, it's safe only against Cloyster and another Gengar; it could work nonetheless, but it's unreliable.

LK, Blizzard and Psychic are must use.
Jynx often uses Rest these days: at the same time this means that Counter is less predictable.
I wouldn't use Mimic, and about Body Slam it's not easy to tell: if your opponent has Starmie, it's possible for him to use it (instead of Chansey) against your Jynx, but at the same time he's going to Chansey as soon as you reaveal Body Slam- this means you should be allowed one single Body Slam.
