RBY OU My OU Team

This is the team I standardly use for RBY OU.

Jynx (Lead Pokemon)
-Lovely Kiss
-Blizzard
-Psychic
-Counter

I decided to give her counter over Mimic so she can hit Tauros and is a good counter against Exeggutor.

Tauros (Standard)
-Body Slam
-Hyper Beam
-Earthquake
-Blizzard

The standard set that helps deal with Gengar, Jolteon, and other Tauros.

Exeggutor (Sleeper/Paralyzer)
-Sleep Powder
-Psychic
-Explosion
-Stun Powder

The standard Exeggutor set and I believe Stun Powder is the best move for it to help deal with Chansey, switch ins, and other Pokemon that outspeed it.

Snorlax (Amnesia Sweeper)
-Amnesia
-Ice Beam
-Body Slam
-Rest

It is a Tauros check of the team and Amnesia allows it to help against Rhydon,Golem, and opposing Snorlax. I gave it Body Slam so it has a chance of paralyzing a Chansey and Ice Beam to beat it in the PP stall game out of softboil or incase it has counter. Rest to allow it to possibly continue be a paralyze sweeper with Body Slam

Chansey (Special Wall)
-Ice Beam
-Soft Boiled
-Thunder Wave
-Thunderbolt

I am possibly considering Reflect over Thunderbolt to deal with Blizzard/Ice Beam. So far I like Thunderbolt on it since it deals with Lapras, Starmie,Slowbro, and Cloyster.

Rhydon (Physical Sweeper)
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Substitute
-Body Slam

Standard set.

Hey, actually your team looks quite solid for that of a new player. There are just two moveslots you should definitely change and those are Counter -> Rest on Jynx and Amnesia -> Reflect on Snorlax.

Snorlax is not a good Amnesia sweeper, as each of those sets relies on the surprise effect and has one or two hard counters it is deadweight against. Especially on a team with Jynx and Rhydon, which is already weak enough to Water-types, you can't pull off a sweep with that. Instead you should rely on Rhydon for that. With Reflect, Snorlax serves as a much needed physical wall that even beats all the mons you mentioned. Ice Beam alongside Body Slam lets you force out Rock-types as well as opposing Reflect Snorlax that don't carry Ice Beam. If you keep it healthy all game, it will wall Tauros hard in the late-game. It can also hard-wall and PP stall Chansey, even coming in on it repeatedly to burn sleep turns, and it even has potential of sweeping alongside Rhydon later.

Rest over Counter gives Jynx some much needed longevity. It especially lets you stay in on Chansey, which can't kill you in 3 hits. Counter is a one-time surprise effect but since Jynx can't even take two physical hits and Earthquake + Hyper Beam from Tauros is already a guaranteed kill (Counter fails after Earthquake because it's not Normal- or Fighting-type), you're better off using something more worthwhile in this slot.

On another note, it's always a good thing to read up on RBY mechanics. You mentioned paralyzing Chansey with Body Slam, which is actually not possible because Chansey, as a Normal-type, is immune to secondary status effects from Normal-type moves. You can find an extensive guide [here].

Thanks I did build this team a few years ago and huh I didn't realize Jynx could learn Rest. Yeah after doing some recent battles and watching past replays I realized I hardly used Amnesia so I am better off with Reflect. Huh I could have sworn I had Paralyzed Chaney in the past must have been with Rhydon I guess.

Depends how long "in the past", bslam not paralyzing normal-types was only discovered in the final couple of days of 2014

Rhydon can't paralyze chansey too: Chansey can't be paralyzed by the move Body Slam because it's a Normal-type.

Yes, rest is much more useful on lead jynx. One scratch on her makes her useless to counter Tauros unless you bluff the switch and they body slam instead of hyper beam. Counter works better for non lead jynx.

Ice beam reflect Snorlax is featured on my team. I'm a fan.

Keep tbolt on Chansey. This team needs something to beat back waters. Cloyster can be a problem if jynx is paralyzed. You'll be stuck playing switcheroo on its clamps hoping to land a twave on a miss which isn't a terrible the worst thing in the world. You can bring in a rested jynx to force cloy out and eat up sleep turns.

This team has good slowbro insurance too. An exploding/ stun eggs, tbolt chance to harass, rhydon can 3hko on a predicted rest. And Tauros can slam slam beam as a last ditch effort. 20% crit rate over 3 turns not a bad chance to get one. That's all from me.

I recently used a similar team: I was playing games using Amnesialax in any combination and this came out.

Starmie
Ability: Illuminate
- Blizzard
- Psychic
- Thunder Wave
- Recover

Rhydon
Ability: Lightning Rod
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Body Slam
- Substitute

Chansey
Ability: Natural Cure
- Seismic Toss
- Reflect
- Thunder Wave
- Soft-Boiled

Exeggutor
Ability: Chlorophyll
- Sleep Powder
- Stun Spore
- Psychic
- Explosion

Snorlax
Ability: Immunity
- Body Slam
- Blizzard
- Amnesia
- Rest

Tauros
Ability: Intimidate
- Body Slam
- Fire Blast
- Hyper Beam
- Blizzard

I used Starmie as the lead because it's the most durable one, and you should use Rest on Jynx as others said.

If you lead with Jynx, you'll be more exposed to Slowbro and Reflect Lax is bad against it.
Anyway, if the purpose is using AmnesiaLax (which is weak to Tauros and other Snorlaxes* - a Selfdestruct variant works better against Tauros) you can do that using Reflect (SToss) Chansey instead of BeamBolt.
Every team should be using at least a Reflect user nowdays.

Tauros is using Fire Blast (over Earthquake) for the ditto, as both Amnesialax and Rhydon have a bad time against Tauros.

*Normal types being unable to paralyze each others caused Snorlax to lose a lot of effectiveness against Tauros.
For the same reason, you want to prioritize paralysis on Snorlax (and on Chansey soon after if possible) before you can setup with Amnesia for profit.
This glitch will come in handy too, making sure you will outspeed paralyzed opponens even after getting paralyzed back
