I've never been able to get Muk to work. Help. Here's where I've gotten with a team, I'm too lazy to play anymore so use it and/or offer feedback pls. thx.

It's basically the standard offensive archetype with Muk tossed on, and slight moveset adjustments to try to make the most of Muk's presence. I wanted to avoid doing this, as I'm not sure I wouldn't rather have something different than Muk there (e.g., Nidoking or Exeggutor), but I think it's growing on me and I can't think of a better core to incorporate Muk into.

    Snorlax @ Leftovers
    -Double-Edge
    -Flamethrower
    -Curse
    -Rest

Leading Lax need not occur, it just seems like a decent idea. Reveals the least information, lets you immediately scout your opponent for their main answer to Lax, which in turn will tell you a lot about their team. Sure, they get early Spikes, but without spin you're dealing with those anyway.

    Muk @ Leftovers
    -Sludge Bomb
    -Fire Blast
    -Curse
    -Explosion

If Muk is unhampered, it aims to blow up on something like Zapdos, Miltank, or Suicune. Curse, in theory, lets it maneuver itself into forcing the opponent to show what you want to Explode on. If Muk does see a big bad counter, it will probably seek to either Poison that Ttar/Rhydon/Misdreavus or severely weaken that Gengar. Fire Blast outdamages Tbolt vs. Gengar, so beating it actually isn't super unlikely. Of course, there's always heavy Grounds like Marowak and especially Nidoking. They actually aren't bad Explosion targets; it relieves some of the pressure on you if you take out their weapons. Unfortunately, it's not exactly Exploding on your terms, but nothing's perfect.

    Zapdos @ Leftovers
    -Thunder
    -Hidden Power [Ice]
    -Rest
    -Sleep Talk

Standard Zapdos, does Zapdos things. Not that interesting.

    Cloyster @ Leftovers
    -Surf
    -Toxic
    -Spikes
    -Explosion

Standard Cloyster, sets Spikes and does Cloy things.

    Machamp @ Leftovers
    -Cross Chop
    -Rock Slide
    -Hidden Power [Bug]
    -Curse

I add Machamp here because he just seems to fit the spirit of a Muk team; he aims to maneuver himself into a position where he takes out the one wall you want him to, rather than baiting one specific wall explicitly and needing to play mindgames to get the boom off because of how transparent it is. Both tend to target similar things (Miltank/Umbreon notwithstanding) , so they actually synergize decently.

    Steelix @ Leftovers
    -Earthquake
    -Curse
    -Roar
    -Explosion

Explosion on Steelix means he can Explode on a lot of the stuff that Muk might blow up on or Machamp might need to break. Curse lets him ensure he gets the right target. Lix's aim will NOT be to sweep, and therefore he doesn't run Rock Slide.

    Importable:
    Code:
    Snorlax @ Leftovers
    -Double-Edge
    -Flamethrower
    -Curse
    -Rest

    Muk @ Leftovers
    -Sludge Bomb
    -Fire Blast
    -Curse
    -Explosion

    Zapdos @ Leftovers
    -Thunder
    -Hidden Power [Ice]
    -Rest
    -Sleep Talk

    Cloyster @ Leftovers
    -Surf
    -Toxic
    -Spikes
    -Explosion

    Machamp @ Leftovers
    -Cross Chop
    -Rock Slide
    -Hidden Power [Bug]
    -Curse

    Steelix @ Leftovers
    -Earthquake
    -Curse
    -Roar
    -Explosion

Yeah pretty badass, that's a whole lot of attack stat on one team. I can't give you any pointers with Muk, I have honestly never put it on a team in my life, nothing wrong with him; as a single poke I think he's pretty good but I have never been able to make him "fit" well on any team. I can tell you from playing against it several times that's the standard move set you got there, not bad but most people know to just use a rock or ground type against it. Giga drain's pretty cool actually, that's caught me out a couple of times and I've seen Lax killer sets with Mean Look, Haze/Curse, Explosion; very effective for what they're designed to do but I don't think Snorlax is an excessive threat to this team.

Personally I think Nidoking or Exeggutor would be much better on this team than Muk, for starters there's no sleeper, also I feel this team leans on Zapdos too much; it's pretty much the only answer you've got for Acid Armour Vaporeon, and they usually come with a bunch of Exploders for taking Zappy down. Vaporeon out speeds Muk so you're not really gonna have a chance to take it down with Explosion either . Also Zapdos the only thing really stopping Nidoking from giving you the run around and Nidoking just owns Muk. Also Gengar can menace this team up a little bit and Muk really doesn't help you with that either. I think that slot would be better suited to a "wildcard" type of poke with a sleep move, Nidoking or Gengar would be my choice.

Maybe a Haze Muk and Exeggutor over Steelix.
