wanna cheese in gsc? try fast swagger + screech abusers.

    forretress @ leftovers
    -spikes
    -toxic
    -hidden power bug
    -explosion

setting spikes because this team is bound to force a lot of switches. explosion > rapid spin because it pairs well with screeches.

    gengar @ leftovers
    -thunderbolt
    -ice punch
    -hypnosis
    -explosion

spinblocker. immune to toxic, can sleep a dangerous threat, and explosion can take out a raikou or even a starmie (for persian so it doesn't have to deal with speed ties).

    crobat @ leftovers
    -mean look
    -screech
    -swagger
    -substitute

crobat can't attack but the threat of mean look can force out things like Raikou that can't attack physically and may not want to chance staying in through swagger turns.

    dugtrio @ leftovers
    -earthquake
    -screech
    -swagger
    -substitute

duggy outspeeds raikou & starmie, and EQ can beat up on pokes after screeching them. plus having an eq user period is just super useful for stray raikous you may not want to chance beating with swagger. can't hit fliers though which is a shame.

    electrode @ leftovers
    -thunderbolt
    -screech
    -swagger
    -substitute

tbolt hits skarm and fliers in general (bar gligar lol) for good damage. also super fast and can tank a hit or two from legendary elecs if need be.

    persian @ leftovers
    -return
    -screech
    -swagger
    -substitute

ties raikou & starmie but outspeeds everything else worth talking about. screech + return is pretty nasty. i've also seen psych up being run on a persian like this, but screech seems more useful in general.

The strategy is to set up spikes, bring in a cheeser, sub up, swagger, screech until they run away, attack when you find an opening, rinse, and repeat. if a spinner comes in block it; otherwise there's no penalty for infinite switching.

    Other pokes to consider are:

Aero (he has sub + blistering speed + hp rock can sort of threaten most fliers, but he gets no reliable def lowering moves, best he gets is rock smash or iron tail if you really want to have a second damaging move)

umbreon (not super fast but can pass mean looks around)

jolteon (better SpA than electrode but tail whip is his only def lowering move and you probably would rather just run hp ice coverage)

alakazam (super fast and encore/disable/twave are good ways to get free subs)

sneasel (no sub which is a huge deal but he gets screech at least)

starmie (mostly for access to Surf so that Grounds aren't quite as scary; no def lowering moves though, but whirlpool and backup cray and even twave can be useful)

and the obvious snorlax (doesn't fit the theme per se but sometimes you just want a st curselax to simplify things a bit).

Ortheore and Disaster Area like this.

What do you do if they bring Spin Golem/Donphan?

What do you do if they brought a Pokemon with Substitute (mono Lix, Kanga, Druidcruel)?
