GSC OU Full Baton Pass

Sometimes you want to play GSC, but you want it to be over inside 30 turns. This is the team to do that. That's not to say you'll necessarily win, but one way or the other the game will be over. Who said hyper-offence doesn't exist in GSC?

smeargle.png
Smeargle @ BrightPowder/MiracleBerry/Focus Band
- Agility
- Spore
- Baton Pass
- Substitute/Protect/Swords Dance/Spikes/Rapid Spin/whatever

Baton Passer #1 and lead. Use Spore after you've Agilitied up if you're facing a p-hazer, in order to guarantee the pass.

jolteon.png
Jolteon @ Leftovers
- Agility
- Baton Pass
- Thunderbolt/Thunder
- Hidden Power Water

Baton Passer #2. Pass to this if they go to Skarmory as you Pass from Smeargle, so you can scare it out (or kill it if they stay in). Thunderbolt is reliable and better against Suicune, but Thunder gets the clean OHKO on Skarmory if they have the titanium balls to stay in and Whirlwind.

snorlax.png
Snorlax @ Leftovers
- Belly Drum
- Return
- Earthquake
- Selfdestruct

Agility recipient #1. You should pass to this first unless they switched in Raikou. Note the Selfdestruct; this is to remove Skarmory for a Marowak sweep.

marowak.png
Marowak @ Thick Club
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Hidden Power Bug/Hidden Power Flying

Agility recipient #2. Outspeeds the meta after an AgiPass, and OHKOs half the meta after Swords Dance. Also OHKOs Raikou unboosted. You could replace this with DrumQuag if you want, as that also outspeeds the meta bar Jolteon.

vaporeon.png
Vaporeon @ Leftovers
- Growth
- Surf/Hydro Pump
- Acid Armor
- Rest

Agility recipient #3. In case of Sleep Talk CurseLax, break glass. EDIT: It's happened twice now, so I'll say that you can also occasionally just clutch sweep with this without a BP if all else fails.

An alternative solution to Sleep Talk CurseLax is Umbreon with Growl or Charm and Baton Pass.

Hydro Pump gets the +1 2HKO on Electrics and the +0 OHKO on Steelix, both of which are very important, but the PP is lousy without Sleep Talk to stretch it out.

meganium.png
Meganium @ Leftovers
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Leech Seed
- Synthesis

Helps to get your second/third pass going if your opponent pulls out a sleeper or otherwise you're caught on the back foot, which happens more often than you'd like. This is the only bit I'm claiming as my own addition. Blissey and to some extent Miltank are other options for an emergency wall (the aforementioned Umbreon can somewhat serve this purpose as well), or you could forgo it and add another pass target such as Clefable.

Interesting. Don't feel like making a long thread atm but a maybe a few quick questions are in order. How does this play:
- vs Lead curse lax or rest talk lax?
- vs jynx/nido lead?
- vs double phazing teams (especially one that has a tyranitar which doesn't even need to be a phazer but can go alongside, for example, raikou and skarmory)? Quite common these days on defensive type teams.
I think a good baton pass team doesn't guarantee, like you said, winning versus everything but it should be able to catch a good amount of the offence teams off guard, thus opening the way for something like curse snorlax or marowak, or even machamp.

Agility up, Spore it if it shows Curse, then pass to Vap and pray.
- vs jynx/nido lead?
Not a great matchup; I haven't really sussed it out, but my gut says switch out t1 to take the likely LK, then get Smeargle back in via Meganium and go from there.

SkarmKou dual phazers is not that big a deal because the first pass is near-guaranteed (Smeargle) and assuming you slept one of their phazers then either they're facing down a +2 Spd Marowak with Raikou as sole awake phazer and Skarm asleep (not promising) or a +2 Spd +6 Atk Snorlax with Skarm (can't switch in Skarm on the pass because you then pass to Jolt and scare it out before passing to Lax) which then blows up Skarm to enable JoltWak. (This trap is, indeed, utterly crucial to a fullpass team's soundness against stall, much as AA Vap is crucial to its soundness against offence because of Sleep Talk CurseLax.)

Skarm/Tar dual phazers goes down much the same way if they send out an actual phazer to eat Spore. However, the smart play for the stall here is to fake out Spore with your Sleep Talk Raikou (since the person running this team won't know you have Tar and will have to assume RoarKou), which means you can get Tar in on the pass. Tar does take quite a lot of damage from Vap and is potentially OHKOed by Wak, though, so it's not completely impossible to win (though it's difficult; your main chances are Rock Slide luck on Skarm or a straight-up Vap sweep).
