GSC OU Borat guide v2 megacolab proposal

As we all know, the guides written by Borat are very influential and have brought many people to gsc, My proposal is a group of people with decent gsc knowledge come together and write another one to increase the amount of people that play the tier. The guides have brought many influential players to gsc like Lavos, and also brought me here too. If we created a project and actually had a decent amount of people with interest, we could do this and create a good resource for generations to come.

The way we will split up work is we would have specific topics that come under the large umbrella of gsc ou, and assign each one to people who are interested in each specific topic. Note that the purpose of this guide is to bring newcomers to a medium experience level, or around 1500 on the ladder.

anyone interested?

I would love this. The Borat guides are super old so may be outdated (honestly I'm not sure), and the tone is needlessly self-aggrandizing and aggressive, and that can actually turn some players off (I couldn't get through them, I'll tell you that much). I'm interested in GSC and I've dabbled, and I would love an up-to-date, comprehensive, and friendly guide. This is a great idea.

A guide about how to be an elitist, abrasive asshole despite never accomplishing anything?

No thanks. Change the name to "GSC Guide," "GSC for Dummies," or something else along those lines.

I would love to see any sort of guidance or analysis in GSC... I will say if you want to imitate the large paragraphical style of the borat guide, it would be very useful to include some sort of table of contents so that things are accessible at a glance, at least to some extent. That's kinda why I prefer analyses and articles that focus on specific topics rather than a massive tl;dr, tbh, but like something akin to a new borat guide would be nice too,,,

Borat is actually pretty knowledgeable about the game. He knows the basics really well, whereas a lot of player don't even know that. But in terms of playing at the highest level and knowing all the minute details that separate the champions from the advanced players, he doesn't know much at all in that regard. I don't say this with any condescension (tone can be hard to hear online) . I'm basing this off of his analysis, battle logs, and just the general odd comment he'll make every now and then that makes it clear he has never been at the peak of gsc.

I do agree that a new gsc guide is needed some time in the future. As of now I think borat's guide is good enough (even though he uses an egotistical tone throughout the guide, and the only thing worse than an egotistical person is an egotistical person who REALLY does not deserve that ego) . If a new guide was made now then I'm sure it would become outdated soon enough. What is a good strategy today might not be good tomorrow. When I stopped playing there was A LOT of growth to be done, a lot of evolving to do. And I feel like the game hasn't evolved that much in the months I've been gone. I would feel more comfortable with a guide being made once the game has evolved much more than it is in its current state.

I'd love an up to date guide for gsc, I personally am decent at it, and I love playing the generation (it's one of my favorites to play in fact), an up to date guide would really help both myself, and a friend of mine (I'm trying my best to at least teach him the basics).
