    Hi, I know that you have done some long range calculations in the past and I am very interested in knowing about the odds (or at least which odds are higher) in the Lapras vs Tauros matchup. Basically, is using C-Ray/Sing better or worse than Blizzard on turn 1?

    This calculation is harder than it may appear, because whether Lapras uses Tbolt or Blizzard after the first Blizzard depends entirely on the damage roll. I'll make a thread for stuff like this soon.

    When I wrote that I was assuming that the Tauros set would be standard. With Leer, Body Slam + Hyper Beam is much more likely to KO than 2 Body Slams + Hyper Beam. So if Tauros has Leer, I think Lapras should go for the status move. But I am still interested in the other calculation.

    Blizzard has 11.02% to freeze or KO Tauros in one use and 45.97% to freeze or KO Tauros within two uses (this includes the previous percentage). That's without a Tbolt finesse if the first Blizzard crits; with said finesse it's 46.73%.

    Sing has 54.69% to sleep Tauros in one use and 79.47% within two uses. Wakeup calc is harder and I'm not going to do it off-the-cuff.

    Hey since you do longer calculations and stuff if you ever feel like it can I request the odds in a raw 1v1 of ninetales vs seadra (assume fire spin ninetales with hyper beam, with and without toxic, vs hydro pump seadra) would be useful and interesting for RBY 5U

    Essentially abandoned, though I believe I still have the working for what I did and as such I could theoretically come back to it.

    Hey I was just looking at your profile and wanted to know if you were still interested in it, and what exact "calcs" you wanted to do. Because I can figure them out with no pain to myself and would actually say I enjoy doing so. I even figured out the optimal strategy for RBY safari zone :)

    I was trying to prove that Gengar's matchup vs. paralysed Egg isn't so greatly improved by using Confuse Ray to be worth giving up Explosion.

    To be honest I was a bit silly saying your skills need to be deemed up to standard. You're clearly good enough and the sort of person we should have involved in this part of the site. Don't know why I said what I said w/ regards to this originally I don't think it was very clear.

    If you want i'll add you to the list on the forums of the GP team. The site's standard is British English but we haven't got our own grammar standards written up yet (consider that a project for in the future once we have an actual active GP team...)

    When posting a grammar check, you'd ideally post 2 things. One would be a copy of the text with the additions/removals/changes highlighted in colour and/or formatting (like bold/strikethrough). The other would be a copypaste. A copypaste should be hidden in
    tags.
